Alternative Hair Show London 2019

Today I’d like to share with you few images from the incredible event I had an honour and pleasure to photograph last weekend. Alternative Hair Show this year took place at Salon International, ExCeL London. The show was simply amazing! Loud music, deep bass, moody lighting and full audience all complemented this grand display of hairdressing art. As it would be extremely difficult or plain impossible to describe it with words let’s get straight to images without further ado. Shall we?

Mission Statement

Mission Statement – What fuels my passion?

For past two years I have been fascinated by the limitless potential of our minds. I have studied psychology, read self development books, attended seminars. And I can honestly say it works. I’m only few steps into that journey but I’m already a different, better person. I have changed and grown in those two years more than in two decades prior that. Many of doubts have been cleared, insecurities addressed and questions answered. But our minds are made to wonder so new, deeper questions have quickly risen. And what I really want to talk about here as it is directly related to my work and main subject of this blog is one such question.

Fashion Photographer London – iPhone Challenge

Can you believe it’s been 10 years since the first iPhone was introduced? In less than a decade iPhone has become not only the most popular mobile phone in history, but with estimated 160 Billion images taken last year alone, also the most popular camera ever. With many news reporters using it as the main tool of the trade, recent Apple’s advertising campaign featured on billboards around the world or front cover and entire editorial in Elle Australia shot by fashion photographer exclusively on iPhone it is fair to say it is no longer a novelty but viable commercial tool if placed in the right hands.

Faking The Seasons – Fashion Photographers London

Fashion Photographers London have quite interesting job indeed. Since we live and work in four seasons climate zone we also follow four seasons fashion patterns. The fun part though is that the fashion brands have to prepare their advertising materials at least few months in advance. There are two options.Read More

Bridal Fashion – Fashion Photographer London

For anyone dreaming of being fashion photographer London definitely is one of the top locations in Europe or even the world. Not only you have access to best models, make up artist, fashion stylists but also there is a real ocean of opportunities. Nowhere else you will find such variety of jobs and assignments. From grungy, urban fashion shoots in Shoredith or Camden to stunningly glamorous photo shoots in beautiful castles and old, full of character mansion houses around London. And about one of those I would like to tell you today. Bridal fashion is rather specific field and certainly not for everyone. On technical side it demands extensive knowledge of lighting and editing. It takes great amounts of time and effort to make (often by hand) one of those beautiful wedding dresses that every bride dreams of from the moment she could dress her first doll. It is my job to make sure that all those perfectly designed details and laces translate into equally beautiful photographs. But besides technical, there is also another, very important side of bridal fashion shoots. It is, as I like to call it the soul factor. Those images just need to have soul. There needs to be beauty, elegance, sophistication and romance. It truly is one of my favourite genres because it resonates with me. All of those things are aspects of life I really value not only at work but also in every day’s life. Sadly in today’s fast paced world, dominated by technology there is less and less room for romance. That’s why I feel that we as artists have very important mission on hands. I hope you can sense it in my photographs…
Enjoy!

Beards and Ink – Portrait Photography Personal Project

Those of you that follow my daily struggles know that I mostly shoot fashion and advertising jobs. Those are usually high energy projects involving big teams, fast pace, noisy environment, loud music and large dose of adrenaline. And I absolutely love all of the above but sometimes you just need a break. No I don’t mean brake from photography. My life circulates around photography 24/7. When I don’t work I watch tutorials, interviews, behind the scenes, stare at other people’s work, experiment with new gear I even take pictures at romantic dates (huge credit to my fiancee for putting up with all of this 😉 ) So what I really mean is break in the pattern. Sometimes you just need to do something different to refuel your creativity. And so I did…

One day I packed my car full of gear and drove 3 hours from London to small, beautiful seaside town Bournemouth where life is slow, people happy and the air is fresh. Prior my trip I have made couple of phone calls and arranged a portrait photography session at the local barber shop. The place is amazing! It’s an ultimate man cave. Under the pretext of getting haircut you just get to hang out with your local buddies, the awesome guys that run the shop, hear a joke that would be absolutely inappropriate anywhere else and if you lucky enough you may even get a shot of bourbon from under the counter 😉 In short the place has some serious character. Kindly sitting in for me I had two barbers and two “regulars”. As they say a picture is worth thousand words I will just let you sink in to my story guided by images below. What a different day that was…
